Virtual Concert Series: Righteous Continental and Kids That Fly
Special Event

Wednesday, April 21, 2021
7:00 pm

The Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center is thrilled to announce our first-ever Virtual Concert Series

presented by Liberty Bank

The second episode of the Virtual Concert Series will air on Wednesday, April 21st at 7 PM EST. Tune in on Facebook or Youtube to watch.

Artists featured in the first episode of the Virtual Concert Series include:

Righteous Continental

“Twisted Blues” is how Righteous Continental (Ryan Newman, Tim Leffingwell, and Mitch Igneri) describes their sound, offering an exciting blend of blues, funk, and rock and roll. Inspired by legends like Jimi Hendrix, the band was formed in 2017 on the same day they recorded their first record, Psychoactive, at the University of Connecticut’s WHUS radio studio. After that auspicious start, they’ve performed all across Connecticut to enthusiastic fans, from Foxwoods to New Haven and beyond.

Kids That Fly

Kids That Fly is an alternative pop-rock band that also formed out of the University of Connecticut in the fall of 2018. Their music is heavily inspired by contemporary alternative rock, citing acts such as The 1975, Weezer, and The Black Keys as some of their main influences. The band’s energetic style – described as “euphoric” by Buzz Music – derives from the enthusiasm that Nick Smeriglio (vocals, guitar), Jacob Stockman (drums), Blake Henry (guitar), and Braden Frandino (bass) bring to their music.

If you enjoyed this Virtual Concert Series, stay tuned for an exciting announcement about upcoming live performances this summer!
