- May I bring food & drink to concerts?
You may bring your own food and drink to only the Talcott Mountain Music Festival Concerts, put on by the Hartford Symphony. Food and drink are also available for purchase at these concerts. At all other concerts you may not bring food or any beverages, even water. Food and beverages are available for purchase.
- Is there an ATM on the premises?
NO… and cash is the fastest way to make transactions. There are 3 banks within 3 blocks of the Performing Arts Center.
- Do I need an ID to be served alcohol?
- Are pets allowed?
NO. (Service dogs are allowed.)
- Are there refunds if it rains?
NO. However, the Talcott Mountain Music Festival events do have the following day as a rain date. Most events are held rain or shine and only delayed or cancelled due to the threat of lightning. You can get info on cancellations by calling 860-987-5900 for TMMF concerts or calling the SMPAC at 860-651-4052 for other concerts and events.
- Do I need to bring chairs?
Whether you should bring a chair depends on what type of ticket you buy. If you buy a lawn ticket, you need to bring your own chair or blanket to sit on. If you buy a ticket for seating at a table or in a numbered seat, a chair is provided. Some events also sell tickets for “pit standing,” where no chairs are provided or allowed.
- Is there a charge for parking?
There is both free parking and paid parking. Parking at the Preforming Arts Center and in adjacent lots is $10. Parking in the public lots on Iron Horse Blvd is free and fills up quickly. Free parking is also available at Henry James Middle School, 155 Firetown Rd, with a free shuttle bus to the concert beginning at 5:30 each evening.
- Where is there handicapped parking?
Limited Handicapped parking is available on a first come, first serve basis on site behind the band-shell. Also, drop-offs behind the band-shell are permitted when handicapped parking is full. You can access this area by driving up the dirt road accessible from Iron Horse Blvd. There is signage there. Handicapped-accessible shuttle service is also available from our remote parking site at Henry James Middle School.
- How do I buy tickets?
To buy tickets for Talcott Mountain Music Festival events on-line, go to firstname.lastname@example.org or buy them by phone by calling 860-987-5900 10AM-5PM Monday-Friday. Their onsite Simsbury Box Office is open Thursdays and Fridays 11AM-7PM preceding each of their 5 concerts. Tickets for other concerts and events are usually available on line from Ticketmaster or in person at the Meadows Box Office the day before and the day of a concert, from 11:00am to 7:00pm.
- How do I become a Volunteer?
To volunteer, just click the Volunteer tab under Get Involved in the menu above.
- Directions? Just type in “22 Iron Horse Boulevard, Simsbury CT 06070” in your GPS click on Plan Your Visit, then click on Directions in the menu above.
- Is there a discount for children?
The Talcott Mountain Music Festival does offer student ticket prices and discounted lawn seat prices for children under 12. Go to their website for details: hartfordsymphony.org. There is no student or child discount to other concerts.
